The Doors: Break on throught

En 1994 llegaba a los cines la película Forrest Gump. Aparte de que considero a la misma como una casi obra maestra, entre sus muchas virtudes se encuentra una banda sonora en la que encontramos canciones de todo tipo. Una de ellas, aunque suene muy brevemente en la película, es la que me hizo descubrir por completo a The Doors. Break on throught (to the other side). Para mí era un grupo solamente conocido por el nombre, pero he de reconocer que hace 15 años a mí no me llegaban. Hasta que vi la película.

Publicada en el álbum The Doors, en 1967, Break on throught es una de las canciones míticas del grupo californiano. Rompedora, directa, brutal. De las que te hacen estremecer. Repetida hasta la saciedad. Elevada a los altares del rock. Una gran canción ante todo.
