Metallica: Whiplash

A principios de los 90, Metallica eran los reyes del thrash metal sin ningún tipo de discusión. Pero esta canción es de antes, de casi 10 años antes, cuando unos jovenes Metallica grababan su primer disco en 1983. Sin embargo, para los que seguimos al grupo, Whiplash es una de las canciones imprescindibles en ellos. He de decir que no está ni siquiera entre mis cinco o seis canciones preferidas de ellos, pero fue la primera canción que llegó a mis oidos, literalmente.

Tenía yo apenas 14 años (tal vez 15). Había repetido curso (1º de BUP), y estaba haciendo una visita a mis amigos en un recreo. Fue entonces cuando un listillo se acercó por detrás de mi sin hacer ruido y me plantó en los oidos unos auriculares con la intención de darme un susto, o simplemente hacer la gracia (eran unos auriculares tipo "piloto", ya sabeis, de estos cascos grandes). Sin embargo, quedó lejos de su objetivo, ya que en vez de susto lo que consiguió fue que me enganchara a los cuatro jinetes. Gloria para mis oidos.

En fin, Whiplash, gran canción. Y como curiosidad, Whiplash trata sobre los heavys y sus movimientos de cabeza, jejeje
